about.

about.

Ashley Wright, known professionally as The Wright Artist, is a chalk artist and visual artist specializing in detailed chalk art, murals, window painting, and custom commissioned work.

Ashley began her chalk art journey in 2015 after discovering a local art contest during a deeply personal season of loss. Following the passing of her mother, she entered the contest as a tribute to her memory and created a swan painting that marked the beginning of her path as a professional chalk artist.

Her work quickly gained attention from local festivals, where she was invited to participate as a featured artist. That exposure led to commissions from businesses, community organizations, and private clients. Her client list includes national brand Lululemon, along with local favorites such as Lumi Snow, Muggle Shakes, and Flower Market on 7th Street.

In addition to her chalk art and commissioned work, Ashley’s artwork has been featured in respected venues including Oxide Art Gallery and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth. Her chalk pastel piece, “Love is Love,” was selected as a finalist for The Hunting Art Prize and displayed during the annual Art Gala in 2015.

Today, Ashley brings her creativity, technical skill, and eye for memorable visual design to businesses, events, and public spaces throughout Joplin, Southwest Missouri, and the surrounding 4-States region.
